EFTEX meets the liability shift regime for locally issued EMV cards (APCA).

EFTEX provides support for BTI Payments Philippines ATM deployment with rollout commencing in Nov-17.

In December 2017 EFTEX becomes a Member of eftpos Payments Australia Limited. In joining eftpos, EFTEX becomes only the 6th new member since its inception as a payment system in 2009, and joins the likes of Coles, Woolworths, PayPal etc – along with the major banks – as one of 20 members. This is a major milestone, and will allow EFTEX to deliver enhanced Merchant Acquiring and ATM transaction processing services to its customers.


EFTEX certifies both Triton and Nautilius Hyosung ATMs, and commenced terminal driving and processing transactions for atm2go and various other independent ATM deployers, including Authentic’s Hyosung fleet.

EFTEX develops its own Web Portal allowing ATM deployers to manage their networks from a centralized location.

EFTEX enters into an agreement with GM Cabs to authorise and settle transactions for AMEX and Cabcharge cardholders.


With the upgrade to Device Manager v5 in March 2015, EFTEX’s helpdesk provides increased levels of automation to enhance service to its customers using Device Managers advanced device management capabilities.

EFTEX certified a range of Diebold ATMs on their Network, and commenced terminal driving and processing transactions for Authentics ATMs’ Diebold fleet in May 2015.

EFTEX makes the strategic decision to outsource its entire wireless ATM communications network to Transaction Network Services (TNS). As at the end of 2015 over 1300 ATMs are running on this highly reliable and flexible 3G/4G technology.


Commencing roll-out in April, EFTEX supported BTI Payments ATM deployment and by the end of the year was processing transactions on 1000+ White Label ATMs. BTI Payments offers diversified services such as PIN change, mini statements and capturing cardholders mobile phone numbers for 1:1 CRM.

EFTEX expanded DCC services to the CashConnect Network offering currency conversion at the point of transaction to international cardholders travelling within Australia.

In conjunction with Quest, EFTEX developed and released a new integrated POSConnect system, offering gaming venues a secure under-counter, cash out solution.


In line with the approach of remaining at the forefront of security and compliance initiatives, EFTEX became the first independent transaction processor in Australia to fully supply EMV / chip card processing at the ATM.

By the end of 2013, EFTEX drives more than 9,000 POS terminals and over 2,300 ATMs in Australia, India, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the UAE, along with providing monitoring and helpdesk services for 3,500+ ATMs.


EFTEX continued to expand services for BTI Payments by partnering to provide White Label ATM services in India with roll-out planned for March 2014.

Continued to expand its range of offerings by providing ATM communications on the new 4G network.

Network of FX and DCC ATMs with Travelex were expanded to over 200 installations across 5 countries, all “driven” from EFTEX’s Postilion platform in Sydney.

EFTEX assisted Cardtronics (USA) by processing transactions from ATMs on Carnival Cruise Lines ships.

EFTEX began providing helpdesk, ATM monitoring and incident management services to the major financial institution Cuscal, and migrated their 1,200 ATMs onto its Fiserv Device Manager platform – with EFTEX helpdesk providing these services for 3,000+ ATMs.

As part of expanding its product offerings, EFTEX released a Secure EFTPOS Cashout Solution known as POSConnect.


EFTEX enhanced its credentials as an industry leader entering into an agreement to process transactions for UnionPay International cards within the region and acquire these transactions in its own right for Australia.

EFTEX implemented Fiserv Device Manager system, the leading automated monitoring and incident management service, within its helpdesk environment.


As a major milestone, EFTEX achieved PCI DSS compliance, joining an exclusive group of companies that provide this highest level of data security. This further endorses EFTEX’s security procedures and policies on the back of accreditation from MasterCard and Visa.


In line with the changes in the ATM industry, EFTEX implemented Direct charging on ATMs.

First Foreign Currency dispense ATMs in Australia were driven by EFTEX and became operational in February.

EFTEX established the only POS key injection facility in India to pass Visa certification.

EFTEX’s international experience expanded by providing POS driving services for Banktech India (renamed to BTI Payments in 2013).


EFTEX contracted with Travelex to support the roll-out of Foreign Currency Dispense (FX) ATMs across the Asia Pacific region; and implemented Postilion’s PostForex software to support FX dispense and DCC processing. EFTEX became an approved third party processor and established links with Visa and MasterCard.


As part of a joint agreement to deploy 500+ ATMs with a major retailer, EFTEX established an interchange link with ANZ Bank.

EFTEX became the first non-bank organisation to be “end to end” 3DES Compliant.


EFTEX developed and launched “wireless” GPRS ATM connectivity with Vodafone – which was Australia’s, if not the world’s, first commercial roll-out of ATMs using wireless technology.

This innovation revolutionised ATM Deployment in Australia. ATMs were able to be installed and operating within days – not months – and reduced ATM communication costs by as much as 95% with no impact on processing speed or reliability.

EFTEX took its first steps internationally – they worked closely with Bank South Pacific (BSP) in Papua New Guinea to install its own Postilion (ACI) processing facility. EFTEX continues to provide ongoing system support and maintenance to BSP today.
